After the tragic incident in the River Niger where Junior Pope and his crew members lost their lives, many actors and Nigerians expressed their grief and sorrow.
Actress Sarah Martin criticized the movie producer, Adanma Luke, for the incident according to Sarah Adanma had failed to protect the lives of her crew members by not offering them a life jacket knowing well the implications of crossing a river with no life jacket However, Adanma chose to remain silent and did not respond to the accusations.

In a new video, the producer Adanma appeared with disheveled hair and a sorrowful face, tears streaming down her cheeks as she recounted what happened.
According to her, they provided free life jackets for everyone, but for some unknown reason, the crew members decided to cross the river without wearing them.

Adanma mentioned that she was supposed to be with the crew on that journey, but an emergency came up, and she had to go retrieve a card from somewhere, so she couldn’t join them. She expressed how haunting this accident has been for her and how restless her soul feels. She also mentioned that she is spending money to ensure that the bodies of the deceased are sent to their respective hometowns.
