“African families would milk you dry”- Mikel Obi opens up about the struggles of rich footballers

Nigerian professional footballer, Mikel Obi has opened up about the struggles African footballers have to cope with.

The former Chelsea player during a podcast interview talked about how African families make it the responsibility of rich footballers to take care of the whole family.

According to Mikel, some family members even go as far as threatening to report players to the Press should they refuse to give them money.

He also added that some of the sisters of the football players give birth irresponsibly with the notion that the footballers would pick up the cost of raising the kids .
