Bongo Ideas has come out to say that, former Blackstars captain, Asamoah Gyan coming out publicly to support the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr Bawumia has made him believe that, he intentionally missed the last minutes’ penalty against Uruguay in the 2010 World in South Africa.
He said, “Asamoah Gyan publicly supporting Bawumia makes me believe he intentionally missed the 2010 penalty cos it wasn’t his party (NPP) in power then! Political footballer!”
This comes after Asamoah Gyan was spotted at the recent press conference held by Dr Bawumia to declare his vision for Ghana ahead of the General election in December.
Bongo Ideas went on to accused Gyan by adding that, “Looks like his penalty miss was a deliberate attempt to wipe out the outstanding footballing record of the NDC! He was paid!”
