Bobrisky, the controversial cross-dresser, has been transferred from Ikoyi Correctional Center to Kirikiri Prison by the Nigerian Correctional Service.
According to a reliable source from the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS), Bobrisky has been discreetly transferred to Kirikiri Prison from the Ikoyi Correctional Centre since last weekend.
Bobrisky was moved to Kirikiri Prison because it is a larger facility. They mentioned that the transfer was done quietly for security reasons. It seems like they want to ensure a secure environment for Bobrisky during his term.
Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos sentenced Bobrisky to six months imprisonment.
The judge emphasized that the verdict is meant to discourage others from misusing and damaging the naira. Interestingly, reports mention that despite Bobrisky identifying as male in court, there hasn’t been any realignment of their gender or genital organs. As for their incarceration, the source confirms that Bobrisky has been placed in the male cell with other inmates and will be treated accordingly.
