“How can Maguire get better and your economy is worse?” – Netizen ask after English player Harry Maguire accepted MP’s apology

A Ghanaian Netizen on Twitter has reacted to the trending reply of Harry Maguire and Ghanaian member of Parliament, Isaac Adongo.

In 2021, Isaac Adongo compared the Manchester United and England defender, Harry Maguire to the Vice president of Ghana, Dr Bawumia about his performances.

In a recent parliament meeting, Adongo apologised to Maguire and said, “I now apologise to Harry Maguire. Maguire has turned the corner; he’s a transformational footballer”

Maguire who saw the video on X quickly replied and accepted the apology, “Apology accepted. See you at Old Trafford soon.”

Reacting to Maguire’s apology acceptance, a Ghanaian Netizen, Kofi Ntim wrote, “Point is how can Maguire get better and your economy is worse?”
