Brighton head coach, Roberto De Zerbi has spoken on Tariq Lamptey’s call-up to the Ghana national team ahead of AFCON.
The pacy defender is one of the 55 men selected into the provisional squad for camping ahead of the highly talked about African cup of Nations tournament.
But then his club manager seems not to have been impressed with the fact that he has been called up to the national team.
This is simply because of the injuries that the right back has been going through for sometime now which makes him unavailable to play for his club.
According to the Italian tactician, He is yet to understand why he was called up despite everyone knowing he has been unavailable for a while now.
He went on to made some bold claim that he is sure coaches of the national team do not follow the English premier league because if they do, they would have known that he is unavailable.
“He is not available to play with us, so how will he play with the Ghana national team? It seems that the Ghana national team coach does not follow the Premier League.” – He said
