In a new scientific study led by Dr Alexander Farnsworth, the senior research associate at the University of Bristol’s School of Geographical Sciences, it has been revealed that all living things on earth, including humans, will go extinct in 250 million years.

Per their study, this will happen because of the constant burning of fossil fuels which will cause a rise in temperatures of between 104°F to 158°F (40°C to 70°C) and “all of Earth’s continents will have moved together to form a supercontinent known as Pangea Ultima.”
They revealed that the extreme heat that will occur in 250 million years has the potency, “to wipe out humans and mammals in the distant future even without the influence of CO2-belching fossil fuels.”
Should this event happen, “It would be the first mass extinction since the dinosaurs died out, around 66 million years ago, when the Earth was catastrophically hit by a massive space rock.”
Dr Alexander Farnsworth said, “The outlook in the distant future appears very bleak. Carbon dioxide levels could be double current levels. Humans – along with many other species – would expire due to their inability to shed this heat through sweat, cooling their bodies.”
He continued, “The newly-emerged supercontinent would effectively create a triple whammy, comprising the continentality effect, hotter sun and more CO2 in the atmosphere, of increasing heat for much of the planet.”
“The result is a mostly hostile environment devoid of food and water sources for mammals.’Widespread temperatures of between 40 to 50 degrees Celsius, and even greater daily extremes, compounded by high levels of humidity would ultimately seal our fate.”

How do we resolve this? Dr Farnsworth said that to be able to stop this extinction from happening, humans must build an, “environmentally-controlled shelters with air conditioning, but we would likely have to build other facilities to house food production as well.”
He also said, “[Survival] will all depend on whether we can escape this planet, and if not, do we have the capacity to use geoengineering solutions to manage the climate.”
