Pastor Mensa Otabil, the General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) has warned those who are travelling to seek greener pastures in Europe to have second thoughts.
The pastor said this in a recent sermon where he gave references in the Holy Bible and compared it with what is currently happen in Europe, calling Europe a post-Christian continent.

He preached on “The Great Commission” and explained that there has been a huge shift in global evangelization dynamics with Europe not having the gospel anymore and Africa, where the gospel was rather introduced is still holding on to it, a situation he called, “reverse evangelization.”
Pastor Otabil said, “We in Africa have become mostly those who have the Gospel, and they in Europe have become those who don’t have the Gospel. So those who brought us the Gospel are now empty of the Gospel so there is reverse evangelization taking place all over the world from Africa to the rest of the world, it is no longer from Europe to Africa.”
“It’s now Africa to the world because Europe has become post-Christian. Until probably about the last 60 -50 years, Europe was the main center of Christianity, that is how all the main Christian ideas came about”

Pastor Otabil further preached that, Europe has forgotten God who made them prosperous as they have left their religious beliefs, thus, the reason why they are going down and soon, the continent will lose its dominance in the world,
He said, “America will not be the superpower again, and Europe will not be the superpower again. They are just going down and the main reason is they have forgotten the source of their help”.
