Nigerian singer Asake is being criticized for his constant disrespect to the Christian faith as he is a Muslim himself.

Solomon Buchi posted on X formerly Twitter wrote, “Asake keeps disrespecting the Christian faith in his music videos. Dramatizing giving the Eucharist, robed up in priestly regalia for a music video that has no connection with Christianity is disrespectful. In his Bandana video, he depicts black goats troping into the church, with cloven tongues of fire above weird men. Asake, I think, is a Muslim. Why doesn’t he go above and beyond to embarrass his Muslim faith in this same way?”

Solomon Buchi went on to ask why Christians listen to musicians who bluntly disrespect Christianity.

“Why do Christians even listen to these musicians who bluntly disrespect Christianity?”

A Christian in Solomon Buchi’s comments said Asake should be called to order.

“He needs to be called to order”

Another person also said, “My problem is that Christians would still listen to his songs. Someone is mocking your faith and you’re still forming “fan” Handfan?”, see here.

Albert also said, “CAN should come out with a strong public notice to condemn his actions. They want to take advantage of our humility and calmness. No born-again Christian should listen to his blasphemous songs. The Muslims did a similar thing to Davido that led to editing of his song.”

Asake is however yet to respond to the reactions from some Christians over his constant disrespect for their Christian faith.
