The genesis of the whole issue is that, the two rival television stations are in a serious banter on X over the best channel to broadcast the African cup of nations tournament commencing on Saturday 13th January, 2024.

In terms of quality visual display, DSTV tops all, but it comes with a cost fee before one can subscribe and enjoy their content.

GTV on the other hand will be broadcasting the tournament at no fee as they have been doing in the past few years.

Reacting to the ongoing trolls, the admin of star times Ghana wrote “We are sorry we have to break this transmission to make way for a live address from the independence square” Free diɛɛɛɛ saaaaa”

"As old as you are, you remain the same" Star times Ghana claps back at GTV Ghana

Such comment obviously didn’t go in favour of GTV as their admin also replied with a twisted poem that reads “Twinkle twinkle little ‘Startimes’
Now we have a bigger fish to fry
Focus on your GPL
If not, we will come take it from you. We are the Station of the Nation.

Sing along

Ancient of days as old as you are
As old as you are
You remain the same” Star times admin also replied back.
