The Brazilian man who was wheeled into a bank by his niece in a strange plot to secure a bank loan was found to be malnourished when he passed away. The autopsy report revealed that his cause of death was broncho-aspiration and heart failure, with signs of malnourishment.
According to the report, an emergency care doctor suspected that Paulo Roberto Braga may have been poisoned. The body was sent for toxicological testing, specifically on a blood sample from his stomach. It’s truly disturbing to learn that his niece, Erika de Souza Vieira Nunes, wheeled his corpse into a bank and attempted to use his hand to sign for a loan several hours after his passing.
The elderly man, Paulo Roberto Braga, had a history of health issues and required special care before his passing. Reports mention that he had been admitted to an emergency care unit recently and was diagnosed with pneumonia and tachycardia. He relied on oxygen and experienced difficulty swallowing.
Erika de Souza Vieira Nunes, the niece of Paulo Roberto Braga, is facing charges of theft by way of fraud and desecration of a corpse. Her attorney has mentioned that her actions may have been influenced by mental health issues. It’s unfortunate that her arrest gained widespread attention when a video surfaced showing her with Braga’s corpse, pretending that he was still alive and able to sign for her loan.

“Uncle, are you listening? You need to sign [the loan contract]. If you don’t sign, there’s no way, because I can’t sign for you,” Nunes could be heard telling the body in the shocking footage.
“Sign so you don’t give me any more headaches, I can’t take it anymore,” she complained.
Bank employees became concerned when they noticed the man’s pale complexion and contacted the authorities. It was later discovered that Braga had already passed away several hours prior. Disturbing footage emerged, showing Nunes arriving at the bank in a taxi and receiving assistance from the driver to move Braga’s body into a wheelchair.
