Cape Town International Airport in South Africa has been named the best airport in Africa for 2024 by Skytrax, a UK-based airline and airport review site. They conducted a survey from August 2023 to March 2024, where they asked respondents from over 100 different nationalities about their experiences with check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security, immigration, and departure.
Cape Town International Airport was also recognized for having the best airport staff service in Africa. Durban King Shaka Airport came in second and received an additional award for being the best regional airport in Africa. Johannesburg’s Tambo International Airport took third place, while Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca, Morocco, ranked fourth.

Fifth place went to Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport in Mauritius, followed by Menara Airport in Marrakesh, Morocco, in sixth place. Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, ranked seventh, and Kigali International Airport in Rwanda took the eighth spot. Cairo International Airport in Egypt secured the ninth position, while Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Kenya rounded out the top ten.
