The Detroit police announced that the twin sisters were located and reunited with their family this week. According to Fox2detroit, the police traced a stolen debit card from Nebraska, which led them to the Comfort Inn in Allen Park. It was there that the sisters were found in the company of Marcus Peoples, a resident of Highland Park. The police discovered that Peoples had used the stolen debit card information to purchase the hotel room where the twins were staying.

The stolen debit card belonged to a teenager named Abigale from Nebraska. Abigale received an alert text from her bank and quickly informed her mother. Her mother then contacted both the hotel and the Allen Park Police Department for assistance.

“I didn’t know that it was bigger than what it is until yesterday, and it was quite the shock – to say the least,” said Megan McQuain, Abigale’s mother.

So, the Allen Park police released a body-camera video that shows the moment when the sisters were found on April 8. It turns out that one of the officers who responded to the scene for the debit card fraud happened to recognize the missing twins.

“I know who you guys are, and I know who’s looking for you, okay? And we’re going to have to solve that tonight,”an officer said in the footage

Upon being asked why they eloped from home, one of the girls rudely told the police, “don’t worry about it, it. That’s none of your business.”

People are charged with fraud, using a stolen credit card, and harboring missing juveniles, according to the police. His bond was set at $150,000. The sisters explained to the police that they didn’t know Peoples and he only provided them with a place to stay by booking the room. As shown in the body-camera video, Peoples claimed that his brother sent him the card information and he was unaware that it was stolen.

“If you see something, say something because if we wouldn’t have checked on our credit cards right then and there, and if I would’ve just waited until the next day, it would’ve been, maybe, too late,” McQuain said. “You just never know.”

Before the sisters were found, their father, George Ogden, mentioned in an interview with FOX 2 that they had left home without permission in the past. They had previously run away while visiting their grandmother in River Rouge. Although Ogden was able to bring them back home, they took off again without their cell phones just one day later.
