Tourists murdered on surfing trip to Mexico: Girlfriend of one shares last message before he died
Two Australian men, Callum Robinson, with his brother, Jake Robinson, and their American friend, Jack Carter Road were reportedly on a trip to Baja California in Mexico when they disappeared on April 27, 2024.
Their disappearance became a concern when they failed to check into their pre-booked accommodation. Their bodies were found with gunshot wounds in the head six days later at the bottom of a 50-foot-deep well in Baja, California, officials say.
Baja California state officials have reportedly said that “the three tourists – all in their early 30s – were probably killed while trying to stop the tyres of their pickup truck being stolen.” This was confirmed after an arrested suspect confessed.

Emily Horwath, the girlfriend of one of the killed men, Callum Robinson has taken to her social media page to share the last message she received from him before his brutal murder.
In Callum’s last message, he said: “Happy Tuesday! Good morning. It’s 11:11 and I’m just thinking about you. Just wanted to drop you a quick message and say hello, baby. Hope you’re having a phenomenal start to your day. I’m sensing a big grin on your face for some reason today. I hope you’re full of positivity and smiles. Cheers, baby. Miss ya.”
It has been revealed that authorities in both Mexico and the USA are investigating the incident and three people were earlier on arrested in Mexico in connection with the killings but currently, only one has confessed to the killing after his girlfriend told authorities her boyfriend confessed to killing “three gringos.”
According to a report by the BBC, “The suspect, who can only be described under Mexican law by his first names, Jesús Gerardo, has been charged with “forced disappearance” and his girlfriend Ari Gisel and another man have been detained for their suspected involvement.”
