Stephen Kofi Apemah-Baah, the 16-year-old wonderkid who made history as the first Form 1 student to contest and reach the finals of National Science and Maths Quiz, has revealed that, he started preparing for the National Science and Maths Quiz when he was in JHS 2.
According to him, he gained complete interest in the Quiz in JHS 3 after about a year of practice and was determined to feature in the Quiz.
In an interview with Joynews, Stephen Kofi Apemah-Baah revealed that he was so surprised and elated when he was given the opportunity to join Opoku Ware SHS’s NSMQ team because he knew it would give him the opportunity to meet the contestant for the 2023 NSMQ.
Another thing Stephen revealed was that even though he chose and ended up at Opoku Ware School, it was not a school on top of his preference list.
According to him, in JHS, his dream SHS was Prempeh College, which changed into PRESEC-Legon in JHS 3.
But he finally chose Prempeh College which was a family school as his elder brother and others in his family attended the school previously.
