“In case the Israeli regime embarks on adventurism again and takes action against the interests of Iran, the next response from us will be immediate and at a maximum level,”

Amir-Abdollahian mentioned in an exclusive live interview with CNN’s Erin Burnett that Iran sincerely hopes Israel will not repeat “the previous egregious error” of targeting Iran’s embassy complex in Damascus, Syria. He emphasized that Iran’s response will be decisive and communicated through the Swiss embassy in Tehran. He also mentioned that Iran has sent a message to the White House and Washington DC, reiterating their position regarding the Israeli regime.

If Israel commits the same error again, Amir-Abdollahian stated that Iran’s response will be decisive, definitive, and regretful for them. He made this statement from the Iranian Permanent Mission to the United Nations, one of the few places where he is allowed to be in the US due to State Department restrictions. The recent missile and drone attacks by Iran against Israel were in retaliation to the suspected Israeli strikes.

Amir-Abdollahian mentioned that Iran’s actions were within certain boundaries and aimed at achieving equal retaliation. He emphasized that Iran wants to make it clear that they have the capability to respond. However, he warned that if Israel chooses to retaliate, Iran’s next response will be immediate and at a maximum level. The post has been updated with more of the minister’s remarks to Erin Burnett.
